Classes will either run for two and one half hours in the morning or in the afternoon, depending upon the teacher’s availability. A half hour lunch break (which will NOT be provided by Dayton Playhouse) will be made available and then the additional three hours will be dedicated to developing the selected production which will be presented at the end of the Day Camp.
Classes will include emphasis on:
Acting
Set Design/Construction
Stage Management/ Technical Direction
Costumes
Hair/Makeup
Music
Dance
At the end of the camp, on June 28th at 3PM, the students will put on a production of The Princess and the Pea, No TV, and Other Plays, which consists of three one acts. Each child will participate in each one act either on or off stage. The final one act will include all the children onstage.
After the performance, there will be a reception in the lobby (Dayton Playhouse will provide everything for this) for the parents, students, staff and teachers of YouTheatre.
